No HW, but some INFO

I will be dropping your first Africa quiz. However, you will retake it as a class tomorrow. I will give you about 5-10 minutes of study time, and then we will take it. Same subject matter, but not the same questions...

Unique Proverb

Here are your options for the proverb assignment tonight:

Keep in mind that a unique proverb would be one that wouldn't normally be found in multiple cultures.

1. Find a unique American proverb. Why is it unique?

2. Find a unique proverb for your ethnic background. Why is it unique?

3. Find a unique proverb for some culture you are interested in. Why is it unique?

HINT: There are many books devoted just to proverbs. Be careful though, most of them are collections of many countries-- not just English ones. Also, there are culture-specific collections as well (ie: Irish, etc)
